Biography
Dr. Rais Ahmad is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering and Construction Management Department at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. His research interests are in Advanced Material Behavior, Wave Propagation and Non-destructive Testing (NDT), Earthquake Engineering, Steel and Concrete Design. His fields of research are Acoustic Modeling, Wave Propagation and Blast Loading Analysis. Dr. Ahmad authored more than 40 papers in journals, conference proceedings etc. Dr. Ahmad is a licenced Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the states of California and North Carolina, USA. Dr. Ahmad is the ASCE-CSUN Faculty Advisor.
