Biography
Dr. Amimul Ahsan is an adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia and Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Uttara University, Dhaka 1230, Bangladesh. Dr. Ahsan received a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan and he has more than 11 years of research, teaching and industrial experiences. He is involved with a number of collaborative research projects in different countries, e.g. University of Fukui, Japan; Western Sydney University, Australia; University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia; Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh & Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He has published extensively in Water and Environmental Engineering including 8 books, 11 book chapters and over 124 journal articles (mostly ISI/Scopus).

He specializes in Water and Environmental Engineering, e.g. water and wastewater treatments, groundwater, solar desalination, landfill leachate, rainwater and solid waste management.
